Best Lasso Alternatives for WordPress

The subscription is usually what sends affiliate sites looking for Lasso alternatives. Lasso’s Creator plan costs $190 a year for 1 site, and country localization needs the $289 Pro plan. If you cancel, your links stay on the site but you can’t edit them or your product displays anymore.

That’s a tough spot for a site whose income runs through those links and boxes. Every year you either pay again or freeze the parts of your site that make money.

I’d split the job in two: AAWP for Amazon product boxes and tables, and GT Link Manager, the free link manager I built, for branded links and country routing. If you only need a few displays, Lasso’s own free plugin may be all you need.

I compared 7 Lasso alternatives on the three jobs Lasso bundles: product displays, Amazon data and link management. They fall into three groups:

  • Product displays: AAWP, Lasso Lite and Pretty Links
  • Link management: GT Link Manager, Easy Affiliate Links and ThirstyAffiliates
  • Hosted localization: Geniuslink

What Lasso Bundles

Lasso is a WordPress plugin backed by Lasso’s own service, and that service is where most of the value lives. Knowing which part you actually use decides which alternative fits.

Lasso’s plans cover these jobs:

  • Displays: product boxes, tables and grids, plus Amazon images and prices without your own API key on Creator and up.
  • Links: a cloaked link dashboard, broken link alerts on Creator and international link localization on Pro.
  • Extras: YouTube integration, a Chrome extension and a marketplace of brand deals on every paid plan.
  • Plans: Creator costs $19 a month or $190 a year. Pro costs $289 a year for 3 sites, and Studio costs $549 a year for 5 sites.

The catch is the dependency. Your links keep working after you cancel, but you can’t update a link or a display, so a dead product or a changed affiliate ID stays broken until you move.

Best Lasso Alternatives

These are in the order I’d recommend them to an Amazon-heavy site leaving Lasso. Each section names the job that tool does best.

AAWP

AAWP is the closest match for Lasso’s Amazon displays. It builds product boxes, bestseller lists and comparison tables from Amazon data, and the prices and images refresh on their own.

It covers these Amazon jobs:

  • Product boxes: several templates, including horizontal and vertical boxes.
  • Bestseller lists: top products for a category or keyword, with the count you choose.
  • Comparison tables: a table builder for comparing several products.
  • Geotargeting: visitors go to their own country’s Amazon store.
  • Data access: AAWP’s own data API for sites without access to Amazon’s API.

AAWP costs €79 a year for 1 site, €129 for 3 sites and €199 for 5 sites, excluding tax, with a 30-day money-back guarantee. New customers also get a free year of ClickWhale Pro, its sister link manager, which left WordPress.org in December 2025 and now updates from its own site.

AAWP is Amazon only. If you promote software, courses or other merchants, you still need a link manager next to it.

GT Link Manager handles the link side of Lasso for free. I built it, it’s open source and there is no paid tier or account behind it, so nothing freezes if you stop paying anyone.

It covers these link jobs:

  • Branded links: `/go/` links, a prefix of your choice or prefix-free links, with 301, 302 and 307 redirects.
  • Country routing: each link can send the US to amazon.com and India to amazon.in, using the country header from Cloudflare, CloudFront, Vercel or your server.
  • Click reports: opt-in trends, top links, countries, devices and the page each click came from.
  • Control: rel settings for nofollow and sponsored, categories, tags and CSV export of the whole library.

Because the links live in WordPress, changing a merchant or affiliate ID means editing one link, and every article that uses it updates. Gatilab runs its 1,366 active affiliate links through it.

GT Link Manager has no product boxes, Amazon product data, keyword auto-linking or broken link alerts. It’s new, on WordPress.org since March 2026 with 100+ installs, and country rules need a trusted CDN or server country header. See what’s included on the GT Link Manager page.

Lasso Lite

Lasso Lite is Lasso’s own free plugin, and it’s enough if you only need a handful of displays. It used to be called Simple URLs and has 4,000+ active installs.

It gives you cloaked `/go/` links, single product displays through a block or shortcode and basic click counts. With your own Amazon API credentials, it can pull product details too. It also imports links from Pretty Links, ThirstyAffiliates, Easy Affiliate Links, AAWP and 4 other plugins.

Tables, grids, broken link alerts and analytics need a paid Lasso plan. Lasso Lite has a 62/100 rating from 47 reviews, the lowest WordPress.org rating in this list.

Easy Affiliate Links is the budget pick for Amazon links without boxes. Premium searches Amazon products through Amazon’s Creators API and turns them into managed links.

It also adds click charts, a broken link checker, country or device links and temporary replacement links. The free plugin keeps links in categories with click counts and CSV or XML import and export.

Easy Affiliate Links Premium costs $29 a year for 1 site or $119 a year for 20 sites. It has no product boxes or tables, so pair it with a display plugin if you need those.

Pretty Links is the one plugin here that can replace both halves of Lasso inside WordPress. Its Product Displays add-on adds product boxes next to a full link manager with country, device and time redirects.

That add-on only comes with the Super Affiliate plan. It costs $199.60 in the first year and renews at $499 for 5 sites, which is more than Lasso Creator for a single site.

Pretty Links makes sense for a network of 3 to 5 sites that wants everything on its own servers. For one site, the AAWP and link manager pair costs less. I covered its cheaper rivals in Pretty Links alternatives.

ThirstyAffiliates

ThirstyAffiliates suits a site that wants Amazon products imported straight into its link manager. Every paid plan includes Amazon importing, geolocation redirects through MaxMind, keyword auto-linking and an automatic 404 checker.

ThirstyAffiliates Basic costs $99.60 in the first year and $249 after that. It stores links as WordPress posts, and its free version is mostly cloaking with basic click counts. If it isn’t quite right, I compared the options in ThirstyAffiliates alternatives.

Geniuslink is a hosted service for Amazon localization, not a WordPress plugin. It sends each shopper to their local Amazon store, opens the Amazon app on phones and can show a page that lets the shopper pick a store.

It also alerts you about broken or out-of-stock Amazon links and can split traffic for A/B tests. Geniuslink costs $6 a month including 1,000 clicks, then $3.50 per 1,000 clicks, and a custom domain adds $50 a month.

The price grows with your traffic. At 100,000 clicks a month, the published rate works out to $352.50 a month before volume discounts, so it fits a site where international Amazon sales clearly cover it.

Leaving Lasso

The safest exit from Lasso replaces displays first and links second. A missing box looks broken to a reader, while a link that still redirects keeps earning.

These are the steps I’d follow:

  1. List every display. Find each Lasso block and `[lasso]` shortcode in your posts so nothing is left behind as a raw shortcode.
  2. Rebuild the important displays. Start with the posts that earn the most and replace their boxes with AAWP or your new display tool.
  3. Move the links with their paths. Keep the same `/go/` paths in the new link manager so old posts and emails keep working.
  4. Check affiliate IDs. Open a sample of links and confirm the tag or affiliate ID reaches the merchant.
  5. Cancel last. Your links stay live after you cancel, but you can’t fix them in Lasso anymore, so finish the move first.

If you’re changing destinations across many old posts during the move, I covered that in how to change affiliate links across WordPress posts.

FAQs on Lasso Alternatives

How much does Lasso cost?

Lasso Creator costs $19 a month or $190 a year for 1 site. Pro costs $29 a month or $289 a year for 3 sites and adds international link localization. Studio costs $59 a month or $549 a year for 5 sites. Lasso Lite is free.

What happens to my links if I cancel Lasso?

According to Lasso, your links stay on your website unchanged after you cancel. You can no longer update links or displays, so a changed affiliate ID or dead product stays as it is.

Is there a free alternative to Lasso?

Lasso Lite is free for single product displays and cloaked links. For links alone, GT Link Manager is free, including country routing and click reports. Free product boxes with live Amazon data are harder to find, so most sites pay for a display plugin such as AAWP.

What is the best Lasso alternative for Amazon affiliates?

AAWP is the closest match for Amazon product boxes, bestseller lists and comparison tables, at €79 a year for 1 site. Pair it with a link manager for non-Amazon links and country routing.

Can I keep my Lasso link URLs when I switch?

Yes, if the new link manager uses the same path, such as /go/. Import the links, keep each slug, and test a sample before you cancel Lasso.

Final Remarks

If you use Lasso’s brand-deal marketplace or its YouTube tools every week, I’d stay. Those parts have no simple replacement in a WordPress plugin.

If you mainly use it for Amazon boxes and cloaked links, I’d move the displays to AAWP and the links to GT Link Manager. Start with your 10 highest-earning posts, then cancel Lasso once the rest are done.

Tell Google you want more of this.
