Black Friday Email Templates
Which Black Friday email should you send first, what should the subject line say and how many emails is too many? Those questions come up before any design work, and Black Friday email templates only help once they’re answered.
Most businesses send the same message 5 times with a different countdown. Subscribers notice, and the last emails of the week do the worst job, because readers stopped opening after the second one.
So we’d treat the week as a short sequence where every email has one job: build the list, announce the offer, remind, close and follow up. The 10 templates below follow that order, and each one has a subject line, preview text and a body you can edit.
If you’re choosing a sending tool first, MailerLite covers signup forms, landing pages and automation for a small business. A WordPress business that wants contacts and campaigns inside its own site can use FluentCRM. Both handle the segments these templates assume.
How to Use These Black Friday Email Templates
Each template is plain text, so it pastes into any email tool. The bracketed fields are details only you can supply, such as a product link or the time your sale ends.
- Pick by job, not by order. A store with no waitlist skips the first template.
- Send each email to the right segment. A customer who already bought shouldn’t get the last-call email.
- Keep one offer per email. Three offers in one message make the reader choose, and most choose nothing.
The Early Access Email
This one goes out in the first half of November to build a list of people who want the offer first. It works for any business, because it asks for interest instead of money.

[Company]The SaaS Launch Email
Use this on the day your sale opens. It leads with the price the reader pays and puts the renewal right next to it, which is the question most SaaS buyers have.
Subject: [Product] is [40%] off until [end date]
Preview: Here's what you pay now and what it renews at.
Hi [First name],
Our Black Friday sale is live. [Product] is [40%] off every yearly plan until [end date], and the discount applies at checkout, so you don't need a code.
What that means in real money:
- [Plan]: [$59.40] for the first year instead of [$99]
- It renews at [$99] a year, and you can cancel before then
- [Refund window, for example 14 days]
If you've been waiting for a reason to move from monthly to yearly billing, this is the cheapest week to do it.

[Company]The Agency Services Email
Agencies don’t usually discount hourly rates. This template packages a fixed-scope service with a deadline instead, which protects your margin.
Subject: 5 Black Friday slots for a [website audit]
Preview: Fixed price, booked by November 7, 2026, delivered in December.
Hi [First name],
December is quiet for a lot of businesses, which makes it a good month to fix the site before the new year.
From now until [end date], we're offering [5] [website audits] at [$X] instead of [$Y]. Each one includes:
- [Speed and Core Web Vitals review]
- [Plugin and security check]
- [A written list of fixes, ordered by impact]
We'll deliver every audit by November 7, 2026. Once the [5] slots are booked, the offer closes.

[Agency]The Store Sale Email
For a WooCommerce or Shopify store, the email should show the products, not just the percentage. This template points to a short, picked list instead of the whole catalog.
Subject: Our Black Friday picks, up to [30%] off
Preview: [6] products we'd buy first, plus free shipping over [$X].
Hi [First name],
Our Black Friday sale is on until [end date]. Instead of sending you the whole catalog, here are the [6] products our customers buy most this time of year:
1. [Product], now [$X] ([%] off)
2. [Product], now [$X] ([%] off)
3. [Product], now [$X] ([%] off)
Everything ships free on orders over [$X], and returns are open until November 7, 2026.

Subject: [Result] by January, at the Black Friday price
Preview: [Course] is [$X] until [end date].
Hi [First name],
If [goal, for example "launching your first newsletter"] is on your list for next year, [Course] walks you through it in [6 weeks].
For Black Friday, it's [$X] instead of [$Y] until [end date]. You get:
- [Number] lessons you can watch at your own pace
- [Templates, worksheets or community access]
- Lifetime access to updates

[Your name]The 48-Hour Reminder
Send this two days before the sale ends, only to people who opened an earlier email and didn’t buy. It answers the most common question instead of repeating the pitch.
Subject: Your question about [Product], answered
Preview: The sale ends in 48 hours.
Hi [First name],
Since our sale started, the question we've heard most is: [common question, for example "Can I move my existing account to the yearly plan?"]
The answer is [short answer].
The Black Friday price ends on [day] at [time and time zone]. After that, [Product] goes back to [$X].

[Your name]The Last-Call Email
The final email of the sale should be short. Readers who need it already know the offer, and they only need the deadline and the link.
Subject: Ends tonight at [time]
Preview: Last chance for [discount] on [Product].
Hi [First name],
Our Black Friday sale ends tonight at [time and time zone].
[Product]: [$X] instead of [$Y].

[Your name]The Cyber Monday Extension
Only send this if you really extend the sale, and say why. A fake extension trains your list to ignore deadlines next year.
Subject: We kept the sale open through Cyber Monday
Preview: Until [time] on November 7, 2026, and then it's gone.
Hi [First name],
A lot of you told us the weekend was busy, so we've kept the Black Friday price open through Cyber Monday.
It now ends on November 7, 2026 at [time and time zone]. This is the final extension.

[Your name]The Existing Customer Upgrade
Existing customers often get nothing on Black Friday, which annoys your best buyers. This template gives them an upgrade offer instead of a new-customer discount.
Subject: A Black Friday upgrade, just for customers
Preview: Move to [higher plan] for [discount].
Hi [First name],
You've been using [Product] since November, so we wanted to offer you something too.
Until [end date], you can move from [current plan] to [higher plan] for [discount or price]. That adds:
- [Feature 1]
- [Feature 2]
Your renewal date stays the same, and we'll credit the time left on your current plan.

[Your name]The Post-Purchase Welcome
Black Friday buyers churn fastest when nobody helps them get started. Send this the day after purchase, with one first step.
Subject: Your first 10 minutes with [Product]
Preview: One thing to do today.
Hi [First name],

[Your name]A Black Friday Email Schedule
This is the order we’d send these in. Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27 and Cyber Monday on November 30.
| When | Who gets it | |
|---|---|---|
| Nov 9 to 13 | Early access | Your whole list |
| Sale opens | SaaS launch, store sale or course email | Your whole list, early list first |
| Sale opens | Existing customer upgrade | Current customers only |
| 2 days before the end | 48-hour reminder | Opened but didn’t buy |
| Last day | Last call | Didn’t buy |
| Nov 30, only if real | Cyber Monday extension | Didn’t buy |
| Day after purchase | Post-purchase welcome | New Black Friday buyers |
That’s 4 or 5 emails for most subscribers, which is enough. Anyone who bought drops out of the sales emails the moment they buy.
Keep These Emails Out of Spam
Inbox providers get stricter in November, because sending volume jumps across every list. These are the checks we’d do a week before the first send:
- Authenticate your domain with SPF, DKIM and DMARC. Gmail and Yahoo require all three for bulk senders.
- Remove inactive subscribers who haven’t opened in 6 months, so your engagement rate stays healthy.
- Keep a one-click unsubscribe link in every email, which Gmail and Yahoo also require from bulk senders.
- Send a smaller test batch first to your most engaged subscribers, then the rest of the list.
Our guides to email deliverability and how to clean up an email list go deeper on each step.
FAQs on Black Friday Email Templates
How many Black Friday emails should I send?
4 or 5 for most subscribers: an early access email, a launch, a reminder, a last call and, only if you really extend the sale, a Cyber Monday email. Buyers should drop out of the sequence as soon as they purchase.
When should I send the first Black Friday email?
About two weeks before Black Friday, so around November 9 to 13 this year. That gives the early access list time to grow before the sale opens.
Should existing customers get the Black Friday discount?
They should get something. An upgrade offer or an extended plan rewards them without giving a new-customer discount to people who would have renewed anyway.
Final Remarks
If you can only write one email this week, we’d write the early access one. A list of people who asked for the offer will outperform every countdown email you send to everyone else.
For the offers themselves, our Black Friday software deals page lists this year’s dated discounts on email, CRM and marketing tools, and our Halloween email templates cover the sale before this one.
