Which gateways renew subscriptions automatically?

Stripe and PayPal charge renewals automatically, and Polar, Paddle and Dodo Payments renew the subscriptions they bill. Any other WooCommerce gateway works in manual-renewal mode, with an email to the customer.

What happens if I stop renewing the annual license?

Updates and support stop, and every module keeps working. You can renew later or buy the lifetime license.
